Theme: Five Elements
🌱Earth – the qualities of groundedness, centeredness, stability, connection.
We are a part of our natural world. We arose from the earth and return to the earth.
In modern society, we’ve become more disconnected from nature.
When was the last time you immersed yourself in nature?
Or touched your feet, hands, or body to the earth?
🌊Water – the qualities of fluidness, reflection, creativity, adaptability, flexibility.
Water makes up around 70% of our body composition.
As water moves through your body, you can learn to go with the flow of your life – accepting your life as it is.
🔥Fire – the qualities of courage, strength, passion, discernment.
You’re courageous enough to stand up for what you believe in.
You’re strong enough to stay patient or fight for your values.
You have an inner fire to walk through the challenges.
🌀Air – the qualities of expansion, imagination, knowledge, uplift, lightness, movement.
Without the breath, there is no energy.
Without the energy, there is no life.
Our thoughts, emotions, and ideas are carried through our bodies on the currents of the air element and constantly changing and evolving.
❤Space – the qualities of the emptiness and the container for all the elements.
You create space in your life by not forcing yourself to fill your empty-ness.
You create space in your heart by practicing gratitude, joy, and kindness, and in your mind by observing your thoughts.
Also you hold space for your friends when you listen to and support them.
We’re going to pay closer attention to and intentionally experience each element in our bodies as we share our practice this week.
