When exercise is therapy, it’s not just about the chemical reactions that improve our moods, but it’s also about learning ourselves.

The September focus is “non-stealing”.
In this theme, we are encouraged not to take things that don’t belong to us.


It’s so tempting to over-reach and over-exert ourselves to achieve certain shapes or poses that are inappropriate for our bodies.

Yes, sometimes it’s necessary to step out of our comfort zones and challenge ourselves, but inappropriateness can lead to injuries if we ignore the signals from our bodies.
I’ve learned in hard ways when I was younger, and I’m still disciplining myself, especially when I’m super excited about things I’m working on (If you know me, you know I love pushing myself way out of my comfort zone!).

Because… if you truly want to improve and get better at something,

you’ve gotta respect one rule – NEVER LIE TO YOURSELF.

It’s appropriate for us when movements or poses are:

  • still challenging enough.
  • done at ease without pain.
  • performed without muscular compensation such as locked knees, raised shoulders, bent arms, collapsed body, etc.

These are the poses we’re working on this month.

  • 9/7 Thursday – Side Plank variations
  • 9/14 Thursday – Fallen Triangle variations
  • 9/21 Thursday – Mermaid variations
  • 9/28 Thursday – Dancer’s variations

I offer modifications and level-up poses. Join me this month.
